Strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza says WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to fight on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but it won't eb against WBO champion Manny Pacquiao.

Ariza worked with Pacquiao for several years and was later fired by Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach. He now works with Mayweather.

He would not reveal who Mayweather will face, but says it won't be the Filipino star. Both CBS and Top Rank claim there are ongoing talks for Mayweather-Pacquiao.

“[Mayweather-Pacquiao is] not going to happen,” Ariza told ABS-CBN correspondent Steve Angeles. “We're fighting May 2nd but it's not going to be Manny Pacquiao. Hopefully, Bob Arum will blow away in the wind or whatever. As soon as we get rid of him we can get it on.”
