With the motivation that gives him the confidence and the mentality of a winner, Dominican boxer Argenis "La Tormenta" Mendez continued his training in Guadalajara at a determined high pace, as he prepares for his upcoming fight for the vacant super featherweight of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), which is scheduled for September 10 against Mexico's former champion Juan Carlos Salgado.
Mendez is preparing at a luxurious health club in Puerta de Hierro in the city of Guadalajara, where he and his team have full access to the entire faility.
"The truth is that I feel at home in Guadalajara, because the people here are very friendly. I feel very good about the weather and the reception given to us. We are still strong willed and very determined not to fail. And many people believe in us, especially in my country and we are here with the firm intention of leaving Mexico with the title in our hands," Mendez said.
"I believe very much in my work. I feel that I have nothing to worry about. I believe in myself, in my effort, and my preparation.
