Filipino bantamweight John Mark Apolinario is ready for his title fight against WBA champion Koki Kameda on July 23.
His manager, Dr. Rajan Yraola told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard as they were checking in at their hotel on Wednesday night that Apolinario had no weight problems and was prepared to take on the tough Japanese boxer, one of three fighting Kameda brothers.
Dr. Rajan told us they have a game-plan on how to beat Kameda but conceded that while Apolinario is a good boxer he doesn’t have a big punch and they are hoping “to win on points if we get lucky.”
