Yoyogi #2 Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan - WBC super featherweight champion Takahiro Aoh (22-2-1, 10KOs) retained his title with a tougher than expected win over previously undefeated Devis Boschiero (29-1-1, 14KOs). Aoh secured a twelve round split decision victory, with two judges scoring 115-113 in his favor, while the third judge had it 116-113 for the challenger.

Shinsuke Yamanaka (15-0-2, 11 KOs) captured the vacant WBC bantamweight title with an eleven round stoppage of Christian Esquivel (24-3, 18 KOs). Esquivel went down in the sixth, but then he dropped Yamanaka in the seventh, who came back to drop and stop the Mexican boxer in the eleventh for the win.

In a WBC super flyweight eliminator, Toshiyuki Igarashi (15-1-1, 10 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over tough Mexican contender Wilbelt Uicab (33-6-1, 18 KOs). The scores were 116-112, 114-113 and 116-111.
