In Thursday’s episode of “Deep Waters” on ProBox TV, analyst Shawn Porter gets excited about Saturday’s Josh Tayor-Jack Catterall junior welterweight rematch in Leeds, England – as well as the animosity boiling between the fighters. Porter wishes more fights in the United States featured authentic bad blood, and says he envisions a Caleb Plant-Jermall Charlo matchup rising to that level of hostility between American fighters.

makes you wonder what their family life was like when kids
Tough to decipher that. Seen folks grow up well taken care of, had all the keys to success, and still find a way to f%$# everything up and destroy themselves. Seen folks grow up broke af with barely any type support, who had to work much harder, stayed humble, make good decisions, and are living great for the most part. It's all about the choices one makes in life and bad choices and decisions will always come back to haunt you later on in some way, shape, or form. He might be going thru a moment like this. You never know what life is gonna throw at you. Regardless, hopefully he can find a way to get thru it and become a better person if not only for himself, but as a father to his kids, being that they are the people who need him the most. God bless him.

This fight is well past when it was hot and I don’t think even the UK cares much anymore.
As an aside, has anyone else noticed way more articles about, and even a bias towards, the UK scene on this website since the change in ownership? Even fighters with single digit fights are getting long write ups as long as they are from the UK.

Never been a fan of the way the Charlos conduct themselves most of the time, but seeing the downward spiral of the bigger Charlo is just sad to see. From what's been seen, his personal life seems to be a total disaster atm and he is an obvious case of somebody who has not been right in the head at all for quite some time bc of it. Hopefully he can get his ish together somehow, get his love for boxing back, and get back in the ring. He's too talented to be wasting away like this.

There's one good reason - Charlo is just lost as a person - depressed, fughed up, ..... maybe when he gets low on funds in a few years when nobody wants it anymore

Plant-Charlo surpasses Taylor-Catterall when it comes to real pressure. Plant smacked the taste out Charlo's mouth and that smack was heard all across the world. That is a fight that will definitely attract a ton of attention based on that alone, plus being a really good matchup between two of the biggest names in the sport. No reason that fight shouldn't happen sometime in the near future.
