Anthony Joshua will fight away from his usual location in his next fight.

Joshua revealed his next fight date live on the BBC when he was working alongside John Inverdale for the broadcaster’s Olympic coverage earlier this month and we have since discovered that the venue will not be the O2 Arena in London.

He has had his last five fights there, the 26-year-old, as well as that venue being the scene of the wins of the British, Commonwealth, WBC International and IBF title, but it was confirmed by promoter Eddie Hearn that Joshua and the team would be moving out of the capital.

“Manchester looks likely, that’s the front-runner at the moment,” Hearn told Boxing Scene on Wednesday.

“The date could change, we could go [November] 19, but [November] 26 is what we’re going with at the moment, the three names we’re looking at are [former WBC titlist Bermane] Stiverne, [mandatory challenger Joseph] Parker and [Bulgaria’s current European king Kubrat], and you’ll get a full announcement on it soon.”

Hearn said that Scott Quigg is due a return fight and said that it could land on this card, but a formal announcement regarding the more intimate details is expected in due course.
