Alfredo Angulo (22-3, 18KOs) is already close to the junior middleweight limit, as he continues training for his upcoming fight with former WBC/WBA 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-1-1, 30KOs), on March 8th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
More importantly, Angulo ensures that his left eye is 100%. During last June's fight with Erislandy Lara, the fight was on the table in the championship rounds, and Lara had been down twice, when Angulo suffered an injury to his left eye in the tenth round and could not continue.
"We're fine, thank God, everything has gone perfectly well in the camp. We're just waiting for the day to arrive. I can see perfectly well. Many believe that my eye will be affected [in the contest], but I had it checked several times after the [Lara] fight to confirm that there was no problem with my eye," Angulo said.
