WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee (43-2-1, 24KOs) is eager to trade punches with his brand new stablemate, Chris Eubank Jr. (19-1, 14KOs), who holds the WBA interim-world title.

A few days ago Eubank announced that he hired Adam Booth to be his trainer. Booth also trains Lee.

Lee is hoping the two of them spar each other in preparation for upcoming fights. Lee will defend before the end of year against his mandatory challenger, Billy Joe Saunders - who happens to be the man who handed Eubank his sole career defeat last November.

"Adam's very high on him," Lee told Sky Sports Ringside.  "I've seen him spar, he's a very good operator, so it will only be beneficial to both of us to spar with each other. It will almost be like the old Kronk days when champions and fighters were together in the gym, all competing. It can only breed success."

Eubank will return on October 24th as part of the Kell Brook vs. Diego Chaves undercard in Sheffield. Lee is hoping to get back in the ring with Saunders on a date in December, but there is no conformation of that at the moment.

"I'm not sure, potentially talking about December but no date confirmed. I'm just talking it over with my trainer and waiting to hear what the word is. I think he still has to see the specialist to say he's okay to fight... so I'm waiting.

"It's a fight that a lot of people want to see but who knows, I want a fight before the end of the year and if he's unable to fight, then hopefully I can take a voluntary defense."
