WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) informed BoxingScene.com that he would certainly entertain the idea of facing British contender George Groves (19-1, 15KOs), and he's even open to doing the fight as a huge headliner in the UK.

Ward was impressed with Groves' performance against Carl Froch last November in Manchester. Groves dropped Froch hard in the first round and rocked the veteran several times in the contest. Froch pulled off a ninth round TKO win with a controversial stoppage by the referee, who jumped in way too early when Froch was trying to finish off a hurt Groves.

The IBF agreed with Groves' complaint of an early stoppage and ordered Froch to face him in a rematch within 90 days. But Froch is looking in another direction, stating that he's more interested in facing Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. 

"[Regarding Groves], that's a fight where if it's the right situation I would be willing to take [it]. I may even entertain taking it in the UK. That's a dream that I have, to fight in the UK. Obviously you have concerns about judging and refereeing and those kind of things. I'm not saying it's a done deal or something that I would guarantee that I would do - but I'm open for it," Ward told BoxingScene.com.
