Tampa, Florida - Andre Dirrell (24-2, 16 KO’s) suffered his second loss of his career this past May when he lost to James Degale in a fight for the vacant IBF super middleweight title. Instead of thinking negatively on the loss, Dirrell see it as an opportunity to avenge another loss.
“I got something else to fix with Carl Froch and now James Degale,” Dirrell told BoxingScene.com. “I want to avenge my two losses and the beautiful thing I can say is Andre Dirrell never got his ass whooped and can’t nobody tell me different I want Degale or Froch, my two losses, they are the only two on my vision. I got a lot to look forward to.”
Although there is another titleholder in WBC champion Badou Jack in the mix, Dirrell says he would rather let his brother Anthony Dirrell, take care of his loss before going after Jack. Though he favors Groves in the fight.
“I want my brother to have his shot at Badou Jack so I don’t want to shine the light on me,” Dirrell said. “But I honestly think George Groves will win that fight though. If he doesn’t and Badou walks away with his title, I want my brother to get the rematch so I won’t shine the light on me. But either way a Dirrell should take him out.“
