Former champion Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) feels confident that he holds advantages in every major category as he nears the upcoming fight with Devon Alexander, a former two-division champion, next Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will top a Showtime televised tripleheader.
Khan credits Alexander as being dangerous and a very good boxer, but a level below.
“I have the better punch power and the better knockout percentage. I have a little bit more experience, I believe, in this fight. So it’s going to be tough but it’s a fight that favors me more because if it becomes a boxing match I can out-box Devon. He’s a good boxer but he’s not on the same level as me," Khan told Sky Sports Ringside.
“I feel strong at this 147 weight, plus I have Virgil Hunter in my corner telling me what game-plan to stick to and what technique to use in the fight. I’ve got a great team around me as well so I’ve not missed anything out.”
