Seven division world champion Amanda Serrano of Puerto Rico and the undisputed 135-pound champion Katie Taylor of Ireland officially announced their clash at Manchester Arena on Saturday, May 2.

The Olympic gold medal winner will defend all of her world titles against Serrano in a bout that will be televised live on DAZN and Sky Sports.

Taylor (15-0, 6 KOs) sealed a wide points victory over Christina Linardatou to claim the World Boxing Organization title at 140 pounds in November, after becoming the undisputed lightweight champion when she beat Delfine Persoon In New York.

Serrano (38-1-1, 28 KOs) won a unanimous decision victory over Heather Hardy at Madison Square Garden in September and in January she won by technical knockout in the third round of Simone Da Silva in a duel held in the city of Miami.

Serrano has been chasing this win for quite a while. Among her seven divisions, Serrano has captured world titles at lightweight and junior welterweight.

The bout will be the co-feature to the heavyweight showdown between Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin.

"I am happy that we have finally made this great fight because both me and Katie deserve to be in this position," Serrano said.

"While our fight could have been the main event. I'm still grateful that it's happening. I'm not going to talk badly about Katie, since I know she won't do it with me, so I'll leave it that way. One thing that is certain is that we will both leave everything in the ring. Thanks to my Promoter Lou DiBella, Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Boxing, DAZN and Katie Taylor for this great opportunity. See you in Manchester."
