René “Gemelo” Alvarado (20-2, 14KOs) is training hard for the upcoming defense of his WBC silver featherweight title, which he stakes for the first time against veteran Rocky Juarez (29-10-1, 21KOs). The fight takes place on May 26th at the Fort Bliss Arena in El Paso, Texas. Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes will televise the contest. Alvarado hopes to eventually land a crack at full WBC Jhonny Gonzalez.
"Although my fight will take place on May 26th, my preparation is already well advanced and I have no problems with the weight. The type of fight that I plan will be simple, if I can not knock him out I will dominate from the first round to the very last round, because after this fight I'd fight for the overall title. That's my dream and my biggest motivation," Alvarado concluded.
