WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) is going to use his significant advantages in size and reach as a way to keep Manny Pacquiao, the WBO's welterweight champion, from planting himself to shoot combinations or getting to close to hit the target.

Pacquiao is the big favorite, with the edge in speed, power and experience. Algieri is taller, and longer, and a skilled boxer who sees his accurate jab as the big weapon to combat Pacquiao's speed.

"I think guys are underestimating my speed a little bit, but I don't necessarily have to beat his speed or match his speed because timing beats speed. And at the same time, with the reach difference, Manny has to start from further away. Even if he is faster, he has to start from further away and I can hit him before he can hit me. The speed differential and the reach differential will play in," Algieri said.
