Former three division champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) is eager to avenge the only defeat of his career, a December 2012 twelve round decision loss to Marcos Maidana (35-5, 31KOs). Broner was dropped twice in the contest and took punishment during periods of the fight.

After his win over Broner, Maidana went on to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in twice in 2014 - losing both battles by decision.

Maidana is currently taking some time off and there is a good possibility that he may not even fight in 2015. In a few interviews after the Mayweather rematch, Maidana said he was not interested in facing Broner in a rematch.

Broner still wants the rematch, but feels a second fight with Maidana is not a necessity for his career.

"I don't know if you heard [Maidana] or not, but he don't want to fight me again. I'm not really worried about him even if I fight him again or not. I don't need Maidana for my career. After that fight my name got bigger, my name is still growing," Broner said.
