Former three division world champion Adrien "The Problem" Broner (29-1, 22KOs) is rejecting claims that he has weight problem.
Broner struggled with weight in 2012, failing to come in at the 130-pound limit for a fight with Vicente Escobedo. A year later he was fighting as a welterweight, 17 pounds north.
After losing to Marco Maidana in last 2013, Broner dropped down to junior welterweight picked up two wins in a row. On March 7th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he returns to the ring against John Molina (27-5, 22KOs) as part of Haymon Boxing's first 'Premier Boxing Champions' card on NBC.
Pictures have surfaced of Broner over the last few months, showing the boxer with a very heavy build, but he denies any fits to get down to 140.
"Listen, I don't ever have a problem making weight and I do what I do and a lot of people; they can think whatever. As long as I come prepared and I make weight; I'm alright. I'm still a lightweight. I'm going to 140 pounds now, and it will show March 7th. I just hope John Molina's ready. It's going to be fun," Broner said.
