Twin brothers Andrew and Jason Moloney have traveled from Australia to Las Vegas, after being fortunate to get exemptions to travel to the United States.

Andrew, the WBA super flyweight world champion, and twin Jason, who is ranked in the top five at bantamweight division by all four major sanctioning bodies, are both expected to fight on a Top Rank promoted card.

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is planning to run two shows a week in Las Vegas, starting in the first week of June. All of that depends on the agreements between Top Rank and the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The fights will be held behind closed doors, likely at a ballroom owned by the MGM.

Last Monday, Top Rank contacted the Moloneys' manager Tony Tolj, giving him the head's up to get his boxers to Las Vegas to take part in their planned events.

According to Tolj, his boxers were given quick clearance due to their standings in the sport.

"If Andrew wasn't the world champion and Jason wasn't the WBO number two (contender) we wouldn't have got the exemptions," Tolj said to Yahoo Sports.

"I rang the boys on the Thursday and said 'boys pack your stuff.' I got the flights ready for Friday. We had to go to Sydney overnight there and then Sydney to San Francisco and San Francisco to Las Vegas.

"Everyone in the Top Rank staff can't understand, (saying) 'it's a miracle that you guys have been able to get in the country when we can't even get Mexicans and Canadians.'"

Both boxers were scheduled to see action in March, but their fights were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

They stayed in shape, ready to fight on a moment's notice.

"We said we could fight next week if we needed, we're not joking either," Tolj said.

"These boys are ready to go, and some of these opponents just haven't been preparing, so we want to catch them off guard. We've put in the hard yards, we want to get that advantage."
