Although she grabbed every world title in the super featherweight division, Alycia Baumgardner is still calling fighters out, albeit now in another weight class.

There’s little left for Baumgardner at 130 pounds. In October of 2022, she proved to Mikaela Mayer that she was the better fighter, beating her longtime rival via split decision. Immediately after, the 29-year-old fully unified the division against Elhem Mekhaled.

While she strutted around as an undisputed champion, Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) felt as though she needed to right a wrong. Christina Linardatou, before Baumgardner stepped onto the championship scene, handed her the first defeat of her career. So, with revenge on her mind, Baumgardner finally placed her in the rearview mirror, winning a wide unanimous decision earlier this year.

With practically everyone scratched off her Hitlist, Baumgardner has begun crafting a new one. At the very top of it, is the name Amanda Serrano.

The former seven-division titlist and current undisputed featherweight champion has done it all. In addition to her world title wins, the Puerto Rican native is known for leaving her opponents unconscious, despite having only two minutes per round to work with.

If the stars and moon align correctly, Baumgardner will have her wish granted. And, if the two officially lock horns in the center of the ring, not only does the undisputed super featherweight champ believe she’ll take care of business against Serrano, she’s confident it’ll happen before the sound of the final bell.

“I would say a knockout,” said Baumgardner to FightHype.com when asked how a matchup between them would play out.

Baumgardner’s pontification didn’t simply come out of nowhere. For years now, the hard-hitting star has studied Serrano’s every move. From the way she throws her left hook to how aggressive she is on the inside. Those characteristics, by and large, have pushed Serrano (45-2-1, 30 KOs) over the winning edge more times than not. However, just because Baumgardner has paid close attention to what Serrano does well, it doesn't mean she hasn’t noticed some of her weaknesses as well.

“Amanda gets hit too much. I can see us exchanging punches. I just see a three-punch combination and one of them punches is gonna tap her. Lights out.”
