WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) understands that he wasn't the most popular selection for Manny Pacquiao's next fight. Algieri, fresh from his upset decision over Ruslan Provodnikov, will move up in weight on November 22nd to challenge Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38KOs) for the WBO's welterweight title in Macau, China.

Unlike some of the other fights which have fallen the microscope in recent weeks, Algieri believes he did more than enough to prove himself in the ring and warns everyone that Pacquiao will not have an easy night at the office on fight night.

"At the end of the day, I believe I proved to be where I am, that I should be here. This is a very real fight. Mark my words, I'm coming fully prepared and I think Manny knows this and Freddie [Roach] knows this as well.  I'm not here just for a payday. I'm not here just to fight Manny Pacquiao. I'm coming to win this fight and I'm going to be fully prepared on fight night. Anyone who is looking past that fact doesn't know me and doesn't know anything about me, and that I belong to be here," Algieri said to BoxingScene.com.
