WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs) has studied Manny Pacquiao's fights very closely - especially his four fight series with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Nobody has gives Pacquiao more trouble than Marquez. They went to a draw in the first meeting. Pacquiao secured controversial decisions in the next two fights, where many observers and fans were split on the actual winner. The most decisive outcome of the series came in 2012, when Marquez knocked out Pacquiao in the sixth round.

Algieri feels the key element in Marquez's success was his ability "to make Pacquiao think."

"Marquez made Manny think. Pacquiao is the king of start and stop, in and out, start and stop. Marquez was able to use broken rhythm to keep that rhythm off. He slowed down certain aspects of it, he picked up certain aspects of it. He was able to disrupt the rhythm of the fight. That's a good strategy [to use against] anybody, and especially for Manny Pacquiao," Algieri said.

Algieri faces Pacquiao on November 22nd at the Venetian in Macau, China.
