BoxingScene has confirmed that the Hendri Cedeno-Alfredo Santiago clash is off after Cedeno was not medically cleared by the New York State Athletic Commission.

Cedeno will face Alfredo Santiago, another ranked junior welterweight, with two regional titles on the line.

Although Keyshawn Davis hasn't yet scheduled or fought at 140lbs, the WBO has installed him as its No. 1 junior welterweight in its latest ratings update.

Junior welterweight Alfredo Santiago entered Saturday night as the No. 1 contender for the WBO title, and that held true after Santiago’s ninth-round technical knockout of Javier Fortuna.

Santiago will face Javier Fortuna in the co-featured bout, while Bravo will face Xolisani Ndongeni.

Both Subriel Matias and Liam Paro weighed in on the junior welterweight limit ahead of their clash for Matias’ IBF 140lbs title.

Kenneth Sims Jr. will land one more fight in 2023 before a hoped-for title run in the year ahead. BoxingScene.com has learned that plans are in place for the streaking junior welterweight contender to face Puerto Rico’s Alfredo Santiago. The bout is targeted to land on a December 16 card presented by Premier Boxing Champions from The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
