Last week a story ran on BoxingScene.com that had excerpts of Devon Alexander's recent interview with 78SportsTV. In the interview Alexander was asked about Floyd Mayweather and he said that Mayweather prefers to face slow footed fighters and that fighters with speed such as Zab Judah and Demarcus Corley gave him some trouble.

Alexander spoke to BoxingScene shortly after the story ran to clarify his comments. He wants to make it clear that he merely was answering the question that he was asked and that all of his focus is on his December 13th showdown against Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs).

"I'm solely focused on Amir Khan. Right now that is the only fight that matters. He is next up and I'm working hard in the gym for him. I'm not even thinking about fighting Floyd," Alexander told BoxingScene.com.
