The fight ended with a fifth round knockout for Hammer but the result was protested after an incident in the fourth when heads clashed accidentally and it appeared that the referee had called a time out but apparently he had counted Wallisch out - only to have the fight resume after a long timeout.

Super middleweight Denis Radovan scored a workmanlike unanimous decision over Yann Binanga Aboghe (6-2-1) of Gabon over six rounds. Radovan improves to 6-0, 2 KOs. Two streaks continued in a fight between German super middleweight Leon Bunn, 25, and Polish 42-year old veteran Lukasz Gargula. Gargula (18-8-1, 8 KOs) lost his seventh fight in a row, while Bunn scored his sixth consecutive knockout in the same number of fights. This one was registered as a TKO in round five. Time was 2:00.
