Former Cuban national amateur champion Armando Martinez Rabi will look to remain unbeaten when he faces his most experienced pro opponent so far.

LAS VEGAS – Vic Drakulich more than earned his money Saturday. The veteran referee deducted three points apiece from Isaac Lowe and Alberto Guevara in an ugly, foul-filled featherweight fight on the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury undercard at MGM Grand Garden Arena. By the time it ended, Lowe had done more than enough to convince the judges he had won.

LAS VEGAS – Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder were heavier Friday for their rematch than they were when they weighed in for their first fight 14 months ago. The 6-feet-7 Wilder weighed 231 pounds when he stepped on the Nevada State Athletic Commission’s scale at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Wilder weighed only 212½ pounds, the WBC heavyweight champion’s lowest weight since his pro debut in November 2008, the day before he fought Fury in December 2018 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

NEWARK, N.J. – Shakur Stevenson delivered what his hometown fans came to see Saturday night. The undefeated featherweight contender scored three knockdowns against Alberto Guevara and beat the late replacement by third-round knockout in the main event of an ESPN telecast from Prudential Center. Newark’s Stevenson (12-0, 7 KOs) knocked down Guevara twice in the second round and once in the third round before referee David Fields stopped their scheduled 10-round, 126-pound bout.

NEWARK, N.J. – The thing Shakur Stevenson heard most from the dozens of children that surrounded him Wednesday was that they want to see him knock out his opponent Saturday night. Stevenson didn’t make any promises to them during a promotional appearance at a Newark recreation center, but the undefeated featherweight contender intends to deliver what those kids from his hometown want. The 22-year-old Stevenson (11-0, 6 KOs) is scheduled to meet Mexican veteran Alberto Guevara (27-4, 12 KOs) in a 10-round main event ESPN will televise Saturday night from Prudential Center, a short drive from the Newark neighborhood where Stevenson grew up.
