It can not be denied that one of the main protagonists of the rivalry between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin - is not one of the boxers.

Abel Sanchez, the head trainer of Golovkin, has been leading the charge in the pre-fight war or words between the two sides.

However, since Canelo appeared on Golovkin's radar in 2015, Sanchez was directly responsible for antagonizing the redhead by calling him a "diva" to criticizing him for being a "runner" when he fought against "GGG" (38-0-1, 34 KOs) the first time in September 2017.

The rematch is scheduled for September 15th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

According to Sanchez, Canelo is no longer the same boxer who sparred with Golovkin several years ago in Big Bear, California.

"He is a man without character. He does not recognize that in boxing we all help each other, not just his world. I met him when he was in my gym seven years ago. He and his coaches learned many things," Sanchez told Albert Perez.

"He was very different back then, he was very good person who spoke to everyone. Now he behaves as if he is above others because he has money."

For their part, the corner of Canelo (49-1-2, 34 KOs) have behaved in a much different manner.

The father and son team of Chepo'and Eddy Reynoso have stayed away from the controversy - until now.

During a press conference earlier this week, they threw a few verbal swings at Sanchez.

"This September 15, two things are going to happen. Saúl is going to take away the undefeated record of Golovkin, and he is going to shut the mouth of Abel," Chepo said.

"He must remain silent. In the end the fight goes on. GGG does not say anything. [Sanchez] is the one who always speaks. We have to do our work, period. We do not talk that much."
