IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence will be looking for more gold next month.

Spence will collide with WBC world champion Shawn Porter in a high stakes unification bout on September 28, with the Fox Sports pay-per-view bout taking place at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Last month, Manny Pacquiao turned back the clock to drop and decision undefeated Keith Thurman to capture the WBA welterweight strap.

Should he defeat Porter, then Spence will go hunting for Pacquiao belt.

Because Pacquiao is 40-years-old, Spence wants to fight him sooner than later - because he's worried the Filipino superstar could retire from the sport at any moment.

"I'm looking for the Manny Pacquiao after this. I definitely want the Manny Pacquiao fight. He's a Hall of Famer, he's a legend, he fought the best fighters of my era and the past era. You definitely don't know when Manny Pacquiao could retire so I want that," Spence told TMZ Sports.

There is still some talk that Pacquiao could face career rival Floyd Mayweather in a rematch.

Mayweather was ringside last month when Pacquiao defeated Thurman - and the two stars were trading harsh words over social media a few weeks ago.

Spence, who is friends with Mayweather, would like to see him stay retired. Mayweather retired from the sport in 2017, when he stopped UFC superstar Conor McGregor in a cross-sport boxing match.

"I don't wanna see [Mayweather vs. Pacquiao]. Floyd made enough money, let the young guys make some money," Spence said. "I'd like to see him stay retired."

While Pacquiao is pushing for a fight with Mayweather - the former pound-for-pound king has made numerous statements that he's not even considering the possibility of fighting again.
