Two of the best fighters in the world, Terence Crawford and Errol Spence, came face to face at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

A fight between the two boxers is one of the most sought-after showdowns by the fans.

Crawford (34-0, 25 KOs) retained his WBO welterweight title last month with a twelfth round knockout of undefeated challenger Jose Benavidez. His next opponents is unknown, but one of the leading candidates is Egis Kavaliauskas, who on Friday won a final eliminator with a knockout of Robert Arriaza.

Spence (24-0, 21 KOs) retained his IBF welterweight title back in June with a first round destruction of Carlos Ocampo. He retains on March 16th in one of the biggest fights to be announced for 2019, when he defends his belt against four division world champion Mikey Garcia - who is moving up from lightweight. The contest will headline a Fox Sports Pay-Per-View card.

Spence and Crawford were both ringside to watch WBO junior welterweight champion Maurice Hooker score a TKO win over Alex Saucedo.

They spoke to each other for a few minutes, with both boxers expressing their desire to face each other.

Their respective promotional affiliations will become the biggest sticking point in making the fight a reality. Crawford's promoter, Top Rank, has an exclusive agreement with ESPN. And Spence's promoter, Premier Boxing Champions, has exclusive content deals with Showtime and Fox Sports.
