Next month, Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs) will attempt to become one of the few fighters to capture a world title in a fourth weight class, when he challenges IBF junior welterweight world champion Sergey Lipinets (13-0, 10 KOs).

The contest takes place on March 10th at the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.

Garcia has captured world titles at featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight. He currently still holds the WBC world title at 135-pounds.

Garcia believes he can continue to dominate the competition as he rises in weight, and eventually plans to invade the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.

His older brother and head trainer, Robert Garcia, agrees.

He feels Mikey is one of those special fighters who can continue to beat out the competition as he climbs the weight divisions - like Floyd Mayweather did in five weight classes and Many Pacquiao accomplished in a record eight weight classes.

"Fighters like Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao were able to move up in weight and still dominate, because of their great skills. Very few fighters are able to do that. We believe that Mikey is one of those special fighters," Robert Garcia said.

Robert cautions that his brother is in no way overlooking the danger involved in facing someone like Lipinets, who has heavy hands and plans to make it a very active contest from the very first round.

"Lipinets has power and we're fighting in his weight division. Lipinets is the naturally bigger fighter and we know he's a dedicated fighter. I'm sure he's training like never before," Robert Garcia said.

"This is an opportunity of a lifetime for Lipinets. Winning this fight puts him in a great position, so we have to be very careful. We can't take him lightly, because it won't be easy. But fighters like Mikey, with his skills, are sometimes able to overcome any disadvantage."
