WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (25-0-1, 23KOs) has promised to take no prisoners on November 8th, when he faces 49-year-old veteran and WBA/IBF champion, Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32KOs). The HBO televised fight takes place on November 8th from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.

Hopkins has derailed several undefeated, young fighters - most notably Kelly Pavlik and Felix Trinidad. Kovalev is looking to end the incredible run of Hopkins once and for all.

"I've waited for this fight my entire boxing career. I'm very excited. I don't know about the guys that you are saying [who Hopkins beat] but I'm going to do my job to get success. He's a boring fighter but he's very smart. He's a very dirty fighter. He can do something that nobody else can do it. He's a very experienced guy. I want to get all experience from him. He needs to stop his career. I don't pay attention to other fighters [who faced him before]. My job is on November 8th. I'm going to kick his ass and that's it. Any way, [by decision or knockout], I'm going to kick his ass. For me it doesn't matter [how I do it]," Kovalev told BoxingScene.com.
