Heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (17-0, 9KOs) is hoping Artur Szpilka is a man of his word. Jennings was scheduled to face Polish giant Mariusz Wach in an HBO televised fight on January 18th at the Bell Centre in Montreal. After initially accepting the fight, Wach withdrew a few days later.

Soon after, Wach's countryman, unbeaten Artur Szpilka (16-0, 12KOs), began taunting Jennings in the press. Szpilka says he is ready to replace Wach, and face Jennings on the January date.

Another fighter who Jennings wants to face is EBU champion Dereck Chisora (19-4, 13KOs) - especially after seeing an article on BoxingScene.com where Chisora was demanding an immediate showdown with one of the top contenders.

"I just want to accept the invitation of Szpilka. He's been calling me out. I want him to know that we accept his invitation. And then there is Chisora, because Chisora has been looking for a tough opponent. I'm here and I'm ready. Whichever one of them wants to come forward. And both of them could get handled on the same night," Jennings told BoxingScene.com.

James Prince, who manages Jennings, is hoping a deal with Szpilka can be reached.

"If Bryant could, he would fight them both on the same night. We want to acknowledge the Polish people, because Szpilka is Polish and Polish people keep their word. We're happy that Szpilka wants to represent for the Polish," Prince told BoxingScene.com.
