LAS VEGAS - Top lightweight prospect Ryan "The Flash" Garcia (18-0) last fought in March when he stopped Jose Lopez in 3 rounds in Southern California.

The 20-year-old was in Las Vegas this past weekend to watch Manny Pacquiao's split decision victory over the previously unbeaten Keith Thurman.  Garcia was very impressed with the 40-year-old's performance.

"Manny is still one of the biggest icons in the world. He fought amazing. I am just happy to see him still on the top level doing his thing," Garcia stated after the fight.

As for his next move, Garcia said that he plans on returning to return this summer now that he has sorted out his managerial problems.

"I am hoping to be back in the ring in September but first I need to make sure everything is right.  I released my manager so right now I have no manager but everything is getting corrected so when I get back in the ring I will get what I deserve," Garcia told BoxingScene.com.

Garcia is very happy with the work he has done with Eddy Reynoso, who is best known for being the head trainer of Canelo Alvarez.  The two hooked up late last year and Garcia has knocked out both of his opponents that he has faced working under the guidance of Reynoso.

"My journey with them is just getting started. I have only had 2 fights with them but I feel so much better and so much more confident so it is just going to get even better from here," Garcia stated.
