Lightweight prospect Ryan "Blue Chip" Martin (16-0) is currently training at Abel Sanchez's gym The Summit up in the high altitude of Big Bear, California.  He is sparring with lightweight contender Denis Shafikov who faces Richard Commey on December 7th in an IBF final eliminator and unbeaten super lightweight prospect Alex Saucedo who fights Raymond Serrano on November 4th in Las Vegas.

Martin is 3-0 on the year after sitting out nearly 12 months while trying to free himself from his contract with 50 Cent's SMS Promotions.  He said that the plan was for him to fight on the Gennady Golovkin-Danny Jacobs December 10th card but with that fight put off until 2017, he still hopes to return before the year is over.

"I was supposed to be on Triple G's card but with that being postponed I am up here in Big Bear getting some work in.  They are working on something for me.  The plan is still for me to come back sometime in December," Martin told BoxingScene.com.
