Barry Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, is claiming that several advances to a high stakes unification have been ignored by the handlers for WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Joshua is scheduled to return on April 13th, at Wembley Stadium in London.

Wilder went to a controversial twelve round split draw with Tyson Fury last month at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

At the moment, everything is pointing to Wilder and Fury getting back together for a rematch in the coming months.

Wilder is Joshua's top choice for the date, but domestic rival Dillian Whyte appears to be the more likely candidate.

Whyte, who last month scored a brutal knockout of Dereck Chisora, is being position for a Joshua rematch. Joshua knocked him out in seven rounds back in December of 2015, but Whyte managed to badly hurt Joshua in the second round.

While not revealing the numbers or providing any details regarding the offers being presented, Hearn states that his team made several approaches to get a Wilder deal completed, and all of their approaches have been ignored.

"We would desperately love to fight Deontay Wilder in Wembley on April 13th," Hearn told Love Sport Radio's The Brian Moore Show.

"We have offered him successively more and more, not just guarantee money, but percentage money. It will generate many times more than he has ever earned in his life, but there’s a certain level beyond which we won’t go because AJ is the A-side.

"Unfortunately [I have] to report that so far despite three, four emails, dozens of phone calls, we haven’t had one response from Deontay Wilder’s team. So sooner or later you take the hint that maybe they don’t want us that bad. But then they’re also, I guess, planning a Tyson Fury rematch."
