Former heavyweight king Lennox Lewis has issued a warning to WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) - that he may have some serious issues with the crafty style of Tyson Fury (26-0, 19 KOs).

Fury will return on August 18th, when he faces Francesco Pianeta on Carl Frampton's Windsor Park card in Belfast. Wilder is expected to be at ringside.

"While you might think it better for him to have another couple of fights first, Wilder would not find this easy. Fury's height (6ft 9in), long reach. mobility and style make him very difficult to beat. Wladimir Klitschko discovered that. And the better the opponent, the better Tyson is going to look. Definitely. That's why I call him the Boogy Man. He can be a nightmare for anyone," Lewis told Daily Mail.

Lewis is not happy with the fact that WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO champion Anthony Joshua has not reached a deal to fight Wilder in a high stakes unification.

Joshua will instead face WBA mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin on September 22nd at Wembley in London. He already has an April date lined up, also at Wembley, and Lewis hopes that Wilder will be in the other corner that night.

Lewis, during his time, fought virtually everyone. And everyone around him fought each other as well. The only boxer Lewis was unable to secure, was Riddick Bowe, who refused to fight the British boxer.

He did, however, face Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Vitali Klitschko, Hasim Rahman, Frans Botha, Razor Ruddock, Tommy Morrison, David Tua and many others.

"Apart from Riddick, all the leading heavyweights of our era fought each other. That needs to happen now. I was stopped twice (by Oliver McCall and Hasim Rahman) but that helped me proved my class, by coming back to win the rematches and by becoming world champion again," Lewis said.
