For the past few weeks, outspoken trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. had been telling me that he was soon to be making the move from Johnny Tocco’s Boxing Club to a new gym in the Vegas area in order to continue training his growing stable of fighters. On Tuesday afternoon, Floyd Sr. was inside of the aforementioned gym just west of the Vegas strip. The facility is at least part-owned by music mogul turned boxing promoter 50 Cent, who is looking to break into the sport with his SMS Promotions.

As far back as early August, respected trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. had advised me of talks he had been having with super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell. To go in hand with those discussions, Mayweather also revealed that rapper-turned-promoter 50 Cent was working on a new gym in the Las Vegas area, one in which he said he would likely be frequenting. Fast forward some months later and Mayweather’s proclamations seem to be near fruition.

An event is being put together for November 30 at Hotel Pradomar in Atlantico, Colombia, starting at 7 pm, with a live broadcast on DirecTV. In the main event, world ranked Darley Perez (26-0, 19KOs) will face Denilson Herrera (4-5-1-1, 1KOs) of Venezuela in a stay busy fight at 135 pounds. This would be Perez's third fight of the year. In his last fight, Perez won a ten round split decision over Bahodir Mamadjonov in August.

In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com, Adam Houda, the personal attorney for IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib (35-1, 21KOs), officially confirmed that his client is no longer defending his title on December 1st at Madison Square Garden in New York. Dib was being positioned to fight undefeated contender Jayson Velez (19-0, 14KOs) as part of the Showtime televised card which features Miguel Cotto vs. Austin Trout in the main event.

When 50 Cent took to his personal Twitter page on Friday night and attempted to verbally berate his former friend Floyd Mayweather, calling for him to face his fighter Yuriorkis Gamboa, very few took his taunts seriously. Still, if anything, the talk of such a fight has made for some interesting feedback. Earlier this year, both 50 Cent and Gamboa had been spending plenty of time inside of Mayweather’s personal gym in Las Vegas. Times have changed, however, with the recent promotional and personal fallout between 50 Cent and Mayweather, as Gamboa is now aligned with the former’s SMS Promotions.

Emotions came to a head between former friends Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Friday night when the two men exchanged salvos with one another on their personal Twitter accounts. Once looked at like brothers to one another, it now appears that the personal and professional differences between Mayweather and 50 Cent have become far too serious for them to ever consider rekindling their bond. The two were thought to have been collaborating on a promotional company titled TMT Promotions but in the wake of the fallout, 50 Cent has moved in his own direction while still finding himself aligned with former champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, IBF featherweight titlist Billy Dib, and super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell while looking to launch his own SMS Promotions.

A few days ago on Twitter, rapper turned promoter Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a war of words. During the tweeting battle between the former best friends, Jackson took an unexpected shot at WBA/WBC super middleweight champion Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs). Besides tweeting out "f*** Andre Ward" - he also said Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14KOs) was ready to take Ward's titles. Dirrell is promoted by Jackson's promotional company, SMS Promotions.

Rapper turned boxing promoter 50 Cent has continued his public attack, via social networks, at former friend Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs). The former friends engaged in a war of words on Friday. It continued, at least from 50 Cent, on Saturday night. 50 Cent is making a public push for a fight between Mayweather and former champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (21-0, 16KOs), who the rapper promotes under his SMS Promotions banner.

While the Floyd Mayweather-50 Cent feud has reached new lows, there was a wrinkle that could have easily gone unnoticed on Friday given the outlandish nature of the Twitter war that 50 and Floyd were engaging in. It was assumed that Mayweather and 50 Cent were going to collaborate on the now defunct TMT Promotions before the company was dissolved following their split. 50 Cent still finds himself aligned with IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib, former champion Yuriorkis Gamboa, and super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell, whom Mayweather introduced him to.

IBF featherweight champion Billy Dib has been caught in the middle of a nasty feud between Floyd Mayweather and rapper 50 Cent, who will now oversee Dib's boxing and prospective acting career after legal threats. Former best friends Mayweather and 50 Cent sent the Twitter world into a spin Friday night by flinging various insults and threats at each other. 50 Cent had set up a promotional company called TMT [The Money Team] Promotions while the boxing superstar was in jail and soon after the rapper signed Dib. When 50 Cent started TMT, he was under the belief that Mayweather would be a part of the company.
