Yoandris Salinas will not rest and continues preparing for his next fight, although there is no scheduled date. His promoter Carlos Rodriguez, and the rest of the team, are confident that the negotiations for the fight with Scott Quigg will get finalized for the vacant WBA "regular" super bantamweight world title.

"My job is to be ready for that fight, and such agreements are taken care of by my promoter and they are the ones who are more aware of these things. Me, what I do is train with the idea of fighting for that title very soon. And since my last fight I only took two weeks vacation and returned to the gym," said Salinas.

"We are working very seriously and with a well-defined training plan for a huge performance against Quigg. On Saturday we held a sparring session with Colombian fighter Darley Perez, who is preparing to face [Yuriorkis] Gamboa in his next fight."

"Me, my coach, and my team work - we know the importance of this fight against Scott Quigg, and we are dedicating ourselves to this preparation because we are convinced that we have a great chance of securing a favorable result and for that reason we cannot neglect anything."
