Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38KOs) is scheduled to return on November 5th in Las Vegas. It was a short-lived 'retirement' for the legendary figure from the Philippines, who last fought on April 9th and defeated Tim Bradley in their third match-up.

His trainer Freddie Roach believes that his most famous client will be fighting on past 2016.

"100 percent, yes," he opined to BoxingScene.com on Monday morning from the Wild Card Boxing Club. "Manny told me after the last fight he felt really good. He looked really good in the fight and he said,'Freddie, I'm going to fight a couple of more times.' That was before he left for the Philippines. So I already knew, this isn't a surprise to me."

Pacquiao was recently elected into the Senate in his home country and his return date was coordinated with his political obligations.

Roach stated - "This is a little bit sooner than I thought but the thing is, we like that date."

It has not been determined who Pacquiao will face in the fall. If Roach had his druthers, eventually they would have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, who beat them last May in what was a heavily hyped yet disappointing fight.

"That's the one we let go, (Manny) still thinks we won that fight and Bob(Arum) does. The thing is Mayweather's a tough guy to beat and then if Manny didn't hurt his shoulder in the fourth round of that fight I think it may have been a little different story, I thought. I've never had so many people come up to me at the airport and tell me I go robbed that next day,"stated Roach.
