Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Lightweight contender Mercito "No Mercy" Gesta (25-0-1, 13KOs) stopped Oscar Cuero (15-8, 12KOs) at 1:38 of the eight round. Cuero used every dirty trick in the book to stay away from danger. The fight itself certainly wasn't pretty to watch. Cuero lost a point in the fifth for excessive holding. A hook to the body put Cuero down in the seventh. In the eight, another shot to the body put Cuero down again. Cuero beat the count, but referee Robert Byrd waved it off.

Lightweight Eric Flores (1-0, 1KOs) made his pro debut with a brutal first round knockout of Wilbert Mitchell (1-3). Flores rushed Mitchell with heavy punches from all angles. Mitchell took a few on the chin and went down face first. Official time of the stoppage was 40 seconds of the first round.

Lightweight Terence Crawford (16-0, 12KOs) secured a wicked fifth round knockout of Andre Gorges (11-3, 6KOs). A combination put Gorges down at the end of the fourth. In the fifth, a looping overhand right by Crawford put Gorges down face first, which prompted an immediate stoppage by referee Kenny Bayless.

Junior middleweight prospect Mikael Zewski (14-0, 10KOs) stopped Brandon Baue (12-5, 10KOs) in the sixth round. Zewski was outboxing him easy. A combination in the sixth put Baue down. In what appeared to be a quick stoppage, referee Tony Weeks stepped in when Zewski was attempting to finish Baue off in the final minute. Official time of the stoppage was 2:46.

Junior welterweight Anthony Flores (1-0, 1KOs) made his pro debut with a crushing first round knockout of Gabriel Medina (1-1). Flores landed a combination against the ropes that had Medina out cold before he even hit the floor. The referee, Vic Drakulich, waved it off the second Medina hit the floor and the ringside doctors immediately rushed in. Official time was 2:41.

Super bantamweight Tramaine Williams (1-0, 1KOs) made his pro debut with a first round demolition of Jesse Aguiano (0-2). Williams controlled the action and battered Aguiano in the corner until referee Robert Byrd stepped in to wave it off at 2:21.
