De La Hoya Says Pacquiao Not Worth More Than Floyd

According to Bob Arum of Top Rank, a split of 65-35 may be enough to get a proposed fight with Oscar De La Hoya-Manny Pacquiao done for December 6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. After a week of talks, the two sides agreed to everything, but the purse split. De La Hoya agreed to come down to 147-pounds and for the use of eight-ounce gloves, but he would not move from his demand of a 70-30 split of the revenue. Pacquiao would not budge from his counter offer of 60-40, and advised Arum to move forward with a proposed November bout with Humberto Soto.

Yea cause Floyd was actually a legitimate threat, and there wasnt a single soul in boxing that didnt want to see that fight happen.

Pacquiao-DLH has a LOOOOOT of nay-sayers, and rightfully so because it is a complete farce.

well I think Arum is referring to superstar status.
Before Floyd jr had a 24/7 or fought oscar he wasnt really a huge name.
Pacman on the other hand is bigger internationally then mayweather jr.

But I still think Oscar should just fight pacman and knock him out and then retire.

If he fights anyone else he wont make as much money and might suffer a knockout at least with pacman he could win and be the mexican too knock out pacman and then retire finally and with a good purse.

But regardless, atleast youll see more action with a DLH-PAC fight then the snoozer DLH-Mayweather. Pac would be over matched but hell go out swinging like a crazy tiger he is. Greedy DLH, just retire already.

I'm glad Dlh is doing what he is doing to PAc. Pac and Arum pulled this same crap when Marquez wanted more money feeling he created the drama, and they only paid him $800,000 and waited for Marquez to get old. I hope Pac gets his ass knocked out. Pac will be the first little guy I root against because he didn't fight Valero lol.

I've seen both Mayweather and Pacquiao fight.

Manny is easily worth any amount given to him.

exactly in terms of moneys worth and entertainment value pacman rarely dissappoints he comes to fight.

if I was oscar I would give pacman a fair split because Pacman is the perfect style for oscar...oscar will win by knockout because pacman is a balls out offensive maniac.

                    Perfect fight for oscar.
