Does Manny Pacquiao really think he's going to get DLH to budge on this? Did Manny Pacquiao really want the DLH fight?

Mayweather, Hopkins, Mosley, etc. those guys got fights with Oscar because they accepted the fact that they were going to have to give in to all of Oscar's demands and in return they were going to make 3Xs as much as they'd ever made for a single fight with the promise that future fights would make them more money than their previous fights had.

The same thing would be true for Pacquiao and unlike, Hopkins, Mayweather and Mosley, Pacquiao doesn't even need to beat Oscar to build his fan bases bigger than it already is. So, I think the question still stands...does Pacquiao really even want the fight?

look at ths way unlike those other fighters this fight with oscar is career ending for pacman!
The liability that pacman gets severly damaged in this fight is very high so this is like a retirement fight for both of them.
Pacman already wants to retire in a year and said he only wants 3 big money fights.
But if he fights oscar he knows that oscar will knock him out so why not get paid well?
I mean especailly if you can get so damaged that you cannot fight the same anymore?

Pacquiao made $6 mil for the Marquez rematch. The deal he rejected from Oscar would guarantee him $20 mil. I don't see how he's not being compensated for the risk that he's taking. Plus, he's the one who wants 8 oz. gloves. If he was so worried about his health he'd want 10 oz. gloves.

The DLH fight is going to make him a lot of money and DLH agreed to drain himself to 147, wear whatever gloves Pacquiao wants and guarantee Pacman $20 mil. How long would it take you to ok that deal if you were looking for big money fights before your retirement?

Oscar is just being greedy here.
Manny IS worth AT LEAST 35 percent.
He is WAY more popular than mayweather and a bigger box office draw.
I however hope the fight doesnt happen because Oscar is WAY too big to be fighting little Manny.

I think you're letting your bias influence you in this thinking. First of all, DLH owns his own company and would be the promoter of record for this fight. Mayweather owned his own company and though Golden Boy was the promoter of record, Mayweather Promotions did not have to pay anyone else off as part of the deal. Plus, Mayweather had pulled in higher purses than Pacquiao has.

Pacquiao, like all other Top Rank fighters, follows orders from Bob Arum and as such part of the money goes to Arum. So, you're starting with a smaller pie. Then, in addition to that, regardless of what you think about Mayweather he helped make his fight with DLH a 2.4 mil PPV event. DLH-Pacquiao would not crack 1.5 mil in PPVs much less 2.4 mil.

BUT STILL Pacquiao would be more than tripling his career high purse under the deal that DLH is proposing. So, the real question is did he even want the fight to begin with? How many of Pacquiao fans think he really should be turning down $20 mil paydays based on principle?

I don't blame Pac for wanting more money. He's the one taking all the risk. Let's see if Oscar will step up to a real welterweight and not try to make another mismatch...
