Keep in mind, I think Warren is a ****.
The Referee seems to look at Warren, as why else would Warren continue the motion if he hadn't made eye contact with him. Somebody alluded to the fact that this referee works a lot of Warren fights, so perhaps there may be a subconcious element of bias in there.

    Mayhap...

Either way, I'm glad Amir won. Oh and the bookies paid out on my TKO bet today. ****in sweet, they could have kept my money because it was a decision, but they were honourable

I bet the under, so I was good either way.

The worst British ref is Micky Vann.

He'd peel a fighter of the canvas if he could and send them back in.

Barrera looked like he wanted to go on anyway. If Khan's chin is so weak, then why couldn't Barrera rush him and knock him out even with blood in his eye?

Because he can't. Marco is to far gone and Amir was to good for him.

          /thread

Khan's chin has nothing to do with this. The thread is not closed.

The issue is the Referee may have been influenced by Warren's gesture to consult the ring-side doctor again (which puts more pressure on the doctor as it is a horrific cut and he can not be seen to put this man out to fight again). Warren's idea may have been that it was past the No Contest marker and Amir was free for the TD.

Maybe the ref was influenced by the actual signal, but it's not like he was paid off to influence the bout or else he would have waited until the fifth round. He checked in the 4th round and if the doctor had called it, the fight would have been a NC. He was just doing his job

Take a look at 2.14 when Parris is out of shot. I wouldn't be surprised, if Warren wasn't taking another opportunity to shout for him to stop the fight then to.

Well spotted, shame about the head clash as it would have been interesting to have seen this fight without any such random mishaps.

Of course, I'm not proposing that he was paid off in any way. And you are right, he did check in round 4, which frees him of being labelled a cheat in any way. But my point was that it is somewhat unnerving if a Promoter can have an affect on a referee's decision. I don't think there should be a place in boxing for that. And the way Warren motions to him is with such authority, like 'I'm the boss here'
