Alot of fighters spar and train at all kinds of gyms. But James never wore the Kronk Red and gold in the professional or amatuer ring.

I sparred with Dennis Andres down at Galaxy when he was down there. He worked with James aswell down there. I also sparred a guy named Gary Stretch, did really good with both of them.

Some guys are great gym guys and that goes for every sport. I was the best guy on my sport teams coming up but I always halfed assed it in practice and some guys use to kick my ass and go all out every day like it was the Super Bowl.

Andy Lee is probally a solid guy who beats up alot of guys in the gym and when he fights Taylor, he's fighing like its a fight against the Middleweight Champ in Las Vegas in front of millions but Taylor is probally just during regular sparring, so it gets tough.

Basically, when it's not foreal then alot of guys can be on your level

What really sucks is that Pat Burns brought Taylor to the titles, and then on the basis of his performances, some of Taylor's people gradually turned up the heat against Burns until they slung him out and got Manny Steward in.

              So much for loyalty.

I like Taylor and I pick him to win this fight, but he didn't even break it to Burns or have him stay on in some capacity. I don't know if he even spoke to Burns before someone else let Burns go from the camp.

This is one aspect of boxing I have no time for.

Gary Stretch was quite famous in England, for coming to London as an unknown amateur and knocking out 67-0 George Collins in one round on a Guinness Record Breakers programme (Collins had to beat Stretch to break a world record) - was live on BBC. Stretch was also a male model, and before he even turned pro and while still a novice pro he dated a string of glamorous women and was pictured in a lot of glossy mags.

His fight with Eubank carried hype because Eubank had called him out a few times in 1988 (before focussing his attention on Nigel Benn, after seeing Benn almost stopped against Logan), and at the pre-fight press conference Stretch referred to Eubank as being ugly and having nostrils "five times wider than the average person".

Stretch was a prick, so I loved being rinside to see Mugabi beat him up in sparring (in summer 1993).

Its a 50/50 thing. It sucks that he got rid of a guy who got him there but I can also understand it because he still looked like **** against Hopkins and alot of people think he lost those fights. Its like Manny said, "He's proud of Taylor for not waiting until a loss to change trainers like all the other fighters do".

If you think something needs to be changed then you should do it and not wait for something bad to happened 1st but the flip side is that he was still a young guy and was getting better every fight. You will find out the answer to this in this fight. If he looks good then he made the right choice but if he loses then he looks like a fool
