This has happend plenty of times in the history of boxing and will continue to happen. Wlad belongs in the catagory with Micheal Grant, Gerry Cooney, Donald Curry, Ri**** Bowe..ect all guys who were suppossed to be the next great thing in boxing and for reasons some in there controll and some out of there controll never fuffilled there potential.

These are BAD fighters he is losing to to and I do mean BAD. Ross Purity is nothing more than an average jouneyman, same with Lamon Brewster, hell Corrie Sanders was pretty much retired and playing golf full time when Wlad and hsi people called him. Before there fights with Wlad Brewster was famous for getting beaten up by Cliff Eitine a guy who was KO'ed in 40 seconds against Tyson and before Wlad the only thing Sanders had ever done was be KO'ed by Rahman.

There is no excuse whatsoever to even have problems with a guy the caliber of "TOS". "TOS" might have the single worst chin I have ever seen on a fighter, hell Joe Mesi damn near killed him.

It is clearly in his head and he is fighting scared and anyone who has any kind of boxing knowledge whatsoever can see this.

There comes a time in a prospect career where people(including his fans) have to stop making excuses for him and just come to the realization that he is just not as good as people thought he was.

    as far as that post

Considering Lewis' two losses came about 7 or 8 years apart so no one was calling for him to retire. Everyone in the boxing world knows Lewis' losses were not because of lack of talent, but because he got lazy. Look at the rematch for the Rahman fight, two completely different versions of Lewis.

as far as Tyson yes everyone is calling for him to hang it up, but he NEEDS to fight because he is in serious debt. No one outside of his hardcore fan boys thought he could rule the division.
We all know that he fought a much different fight against Mesi than he did against Wlad. Keep on hating.

      • Oh yeah Im clearly going out of my mind overhere.

Im just at my witts end dealing with such boxing aficionados as the Wlad fans. I mean...I anger and pure hatered is building so much that I simply cannot contain myself.

You have bested me once again Wlad fans. We are clearly not on the same level when it comes to true boxing knowledge.

after reading what people have had to say about this topic, i asked my father and brother (who like diff boxers for diff reasons and are always arguing) what they thought of wlad, and both of them pretty much said the same in a nutshell

that hes got a glass chin and he looks heartless.

then i called up a female friend of mine who watched wlad get knocked out by brewster she simply stated

"that one guy..? who was beating up the other guy, then got knocked out and gave up? that guy is a *****! it was only like one punch"

she doesnt know **** about boxing, but the point of this experiment was to get the general opinion on this guy, and the truth is, i agree with jose, most people who are just watching wlad without "hopes hell be this great champ" agree, this guy is heartless with a glass chin who just doesnt have it to win it all.

Everyday boxing know nothings like that female friend of mine can see it in one fight, and people who follow boxing such as myself and other family members see it, after awhile, it becomes commonplace that the beilief is simple, this guy DOESNT HAVE IT, until he proves otherwise, im sorry.

          • Looking at the Heavyweight division and its ranks of over-30 so-called luminaries, making it the oldest division in boxing today, I won't wonder if someone just declares that the Heavyweights are fighting against the Cruiserweights for the dubious distinction of being the most hohum division in the fight scene today. That a retread like James Toney can be a factor in a division's reckoning of "threats" and a Corey Sanders taking time off from playing golf could shake the standings, is testament to the lack of quality of the ranks of the division's front-runners; an utterly sad and dreary state. Gladly, there's the talent-laden welterweight, jr. middle, jr. welter and featherweight classes to save the day for boxing.

I'm sorry that one of your favorite fighters is being exposed for the china-chin fraud he really is...I'm really sorry about that, but its reality.

Did you even watch this fight!!! Wlad was totally off balance and wasn't even hurt!!! He even came back and made it a 10/9 round!!! TOS was taking some pretty big shots from Wlad too!!! After watching Mesi destroy TOS I was really impressed that he was withstanding these big shots!!! It was just a matter of time before Tos was KO'd though!!!

              • i missed the fight, but from what i've read wlad seemed to fight cautiously instead of trying to take out TOS like mesi did... punching yourself out might do that to you... it is a disappointing result though and certainly not a positive for wlad...

After some thought on the topic and reading the posts of others, I've come to the conclusion that people are passionate about their hatred for the Klitschkos and get evil to cover up their bias.

For example, What happened after Lennox Lewis got Ko'd by McCall or Rahman? Did Tracylee, Jose, or Cita call for his retirement?

What about Tyson's loss to Douglas, Holyfield, or Lewis? Just a couple months ago some people thought he would dominate the division at 38 years old!

My point is this....... If you take away the Klitschko name and put Tyson or Lewis in its place, the anti-Wlads would feel differently. Just imagine those people calling for Lewis's retirement at 28 years old. Ludicrous right?

Once things are put into there proper perspective, it's easy to see the truth about these people. For whatever reason, they call for Wladimir Klitschko to retire. The only thing I'm sure of, is that it's got nothing to do with boxing and everything to do with their personal preference.

Man that is well put!!! Who is anyone to say any fighter should retire!!! Unless he looks like jones did in his last fight!!! Give Wlad a chance... Atleast let him make a living!!! It is like there is such a fear of him being champ that all these haters want him to retire so he never even gets the chance!!! I just don't get it!?!?!?

                    No ****ing way.
Wlad has beaten Byrd and even on Wlad's worst day, he could still beat Byrd.
Byrd was, is, and always will be a joke in boxing.
Only those with no sense or semen in their eyes can't see that.
lol...the byrdlover would never be in a position to get semen in his eyes..a devout christian wouldnt partake in ****sexual relations
