His training was weak, Emanuel Steward has a track record of having his fighters put it all on the line in the first couple of rounds and I believe something wasnt right in training. The fact is Wladimir through like a wild man and fought at such a high pace it would tire any man out. Wladimir also probably thought that if he would give it all to him in the first half of the fight he wouldnt be able to stand and he would crush him...Plus they probably also thought that if Wladimir used the same tactic that Sanders did on him he wouldnt be vulnerable to such an attack again....

I think it was preparation more than anything else, Steward exhausts his fighters....It is and always will be a problem with Stewards training techniques...So I think you can see where I point the blame.

Do you think it is the same story as with Vivien Harris?

Most definately and Steward even said that was the problem when he got knocked out....I think that is the most logical reasoning to it because it has happened numerous times with Stewards fighters...That is a claim or "theory" that cant be disputed.

Would Lennox have collapsed in round 7 against Vitaliy?

Do you know of other fights where Stweart fighters had gassed out?

See with Lewis and the Vitali fight is that Lewis was fighting a push over a small guy with fast hands was his opponent...Lennox gained that extra weight most definately from saying hey it is Kirk Johnson no sweat and also because he wanted to use his weight and lean on him...So his preparations were in order for a caliber of opponent like Johnson, I believe that to be a fact. Vitali on the other hand was going to fight Cedric Boswell who was a heavyweight who was considered a possibly champ in the future so I can see how Vitali was in better shape. I dont hold that fight against Lewis nor Vitali and I thought the stoppage was correct because I mean seriously look at that eye it was almost an inch deep...But the fact remains is that there were 6 rounds left, that is half the fight and anything could have happened...Sorry for giving you a book, but I dont feel that was the case with the Vitali fight, because Lewis was one of his fighters who never put it all on the line early and waited and used his boxing skills. Plus I feel Lewis did things differently than a lot of the fighters Steward trained but in that fight he was training to lean on a smaller guy...

                    Thomas Hearns
                    Wladimir Klitschko
                    Michael Moorer
                    Mike McCallum

Those are a few who come to mind, you can add a few others but those are the most notable ones I believe...
