  • Comments Thread For: Steward Praises Khan, Offers Some Advise To Rebuild

This past Saturday night in Las Vegas, there was high drama in the air as bold challenger Danny Garcia pulled off his biggest win as a professional in stopping British star Amir Khan inside of four rounds. A cracking counter left from Garcia would level Khan in the third, with referee Kenny Bayless waving the fight off in the fourth after seeing Amir suffer two more knockdowns.

I don't see a weak chin either...the punch that ended the fight was a glancing blow off the top khan's head lolol.

When ur legs have gone a fart will blow you to the ground

That shot (to the jaw/neck) Garcia hit Khan with would have put anyone down, it was perfect. However not everyone would have allowed Garcia to catch them with it, Khan gave him the opportunity.

It all boils down to Khans extra ****ty defense and trying to throw flurry punches which do no damage and leave him open for a counter.

I don't think Khan has a glass jaw, however if you stand infront of a professional boxer with ur hands down and let them hit you with their best punch, high chance you are getting knocked out. Thats what Khan basically does, he lets boxers hit him with huge bombs and then he does the chicken dance...

but was that the problem? Cuz he had been fighting back and took some better shots in the exchanges than that one and didn't really looked like he was gonna go down. He takes a few shot to he face/chin area then next thing I know a glancing blow off the very top of his head knocks him over. He wasn't too unsteady when he was fighting back. There were moments but the ones before that final punch showed no indication that a soft glancing blow would be the one that would end the fight.

Khan was winning the rounds & was dominating that 3rd round until he got caught with that hook while trading shots & just never recovered & Garcia did a good job at not going crazy & picking his shots to finish him off..Khan wasn't really out(mentally) but his legs were not there & the ref did the right thing cause he was going down again..But in a rematch Khan & his team could do right adjustments to win in a rematch..For example years back then WBC jr welter world champion Terry Norris got annihilated in 4 rounds by Simon Brown & 2 fights later in the rematch Norris did the right adjustments to beat the hell out of Brown for 12 rounds & gave him a hell of boxing clinic & was even toying with Brown in an impressive victory..& before that Norris had been flatten by KO artist Julian Jackson in 2 for the WBA title & bounced back to win the WBC title & defend it 10 times before facing Brown the 1st time..So don't count Khan out cause he has good skills, good power, good conditioning & has a big heart & has already bounced back from a devastating KO loss(against Prescott in 1)to become a world champion..

Did Steward really just compare Khan to the Gatti-Ward fight? At a lost for words for that.
