  • Comments Thread For: Abel Sanchez is Open To Training Sergey Kovalev, Door is Open

Veteran trainer Abel Sanchez is interested and open to the idea of once again training former IBF, WBO, WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-2, 26 KOs). Sanchez trained Kovalev in the beginning of his career and helped bring him to a record of 7-0-1 with all seven wins by knockout from 2010 to 2012.

Kovalev is a aggressive power puncher. Abel teaches that style very well. Hunter too cerebral for Kovalev he's not a boxer. Derrick James Spence trainer is aggressive behind the jab and teaches body work

These are two good fits only only if Kovalev humbles himself and is willing to learn and go by their schedule not his needs more stamina

Needs more than jab jab straight right no matter how lethal needs a more varied attack plus stamina and a little D tightening mostly attitude team mentality overhaul

No trainer in the world can teach heart, something Kovalev lacks.

                He's done.

How is it that GGG is so good on the inside and Kovalev is so bad? It leads me to believe that Kovalev doesn't want to listen!
