Loeffler denies that weight was ever discussed.
There are numerous videos where Loeffer, Abel, and Golovkin all stated they wanted the fight at 164.

It's clear that they didn't want the fight, or at best they wanted Ward to be weakened by having to cut down to 164 when he weighed in at 168 for most of his career and fought at 172 for Paul Smith.

Since when is the mid point the place where two fighters should meet? People still b1tch at Mayweather for asking Canelo to go down 2 lbs, but GGG asks Ward to double that and the same fans don't see an issue with that.

so chavez jr 168, froch 168 ward at 164? Thats some serious DUCKING AND DODGING! But if a heavier guy kitty kov couldnt hurt him, ggg damn sure couldnt have hurt him and might've got fooled, Kitty didnt fall for it, into fighting on the inside. You see kov hugging, grabbing, headlocks to avoid that inside game of Wards. So Ward scared the sh|t out of the most feared and then went up in weight class (Boxers can do this) and took the other ones belts. Ward 2-0, alt right, my bad, saltines, Russia 0-2

They def wanted 164, but Ward was in a legal battle with Goossen when they first started talking.

actually, I'm not too sure about that..... ?

                Ward, was 164

Froch said that they wanted him at 166

and now, Jnr just said that Golovkin would NOT fight him at 168, indicating that GGG wanted a catchweight with him as well

If Judges favored Ward, they should be crucified and not Ward. Ward has nothing to do with Kovalev getting unfair decision.
