SHOWTIME Sports will present seven marquee boxing matches pitting top-10 rated champions in the prime of their careers against fellow top-10 rated challengers over four consecutive months beginning in December. The schedule, which is the second robust boxing programming announcement from SHOWTIME in 2016, was announced today by Stephen Espinoza, Executive Vice President and General Manager, SHOWTIME Sports. The lineup includes two long-awaited championship matchups, Jesus Cuellar vs. Abner Mares and Jermall Charlo vs. Julian Williams; the can't-miss featherweight rematch between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz, and a welterweight unification blockbuster between undefeated champions Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia. All four of these anticipated bouts will be presented in association with Premier Boxing Champions.

These are awesome cards. Well done Showtime!

They put on good cards, the criticism remains that for a lot of these guys, it's almost a year since they had a major fight. They need to get these type of cards at least twice a year.

I can't wait to hear Jim Lampley's excuse for HBO's bull**** schedule! "People in glass houses..." Showtime stepped up, now let's see what HBO does in response!

LOL wtf...this fight was supposed to happen this year, that was the plan LAST year and now we're going to get a run of the mill unification between 2 guys who still have a lot to prove, 18 months after these guys won titles and were supposed to collide.

What happened to all the new dates PBC were supposed to get for the remainder of this year? It's a joke. Pathetic. ****.

What happened to HBO is a better question.
