The demand is building for a showdown between WBA/IBO middleweight Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and two-time super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs)

A few days ago, Triple G's promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions told BoxingScene.com that GGG had no issues with heading over to the UK or meeting Froch at 168-pounds.

Froch has been inactive since knocking out George Groves before 80,000 fans last May at Wembley Stadium.

Golovkin is one of the more active champions in the sport and tries to fight at least four times a year. He's already been in action twice in 2015, with knockouts of Martin Murray and Willie Monroe. A September return is being discussed.

If this gets done this would be the best year in boxing in a while. Even over 2013.

I definitely want to see this fight, golovkin looks more devestating at 160 but there is a big difference between Martin Murray and Carl Froch. Have to admire GGG he wants to test himself.

For those people who think GGG only fights 'bums'.

Team Golovkin, are going to paint themselves into a corner here.

And they are going to do it, for one payday lol.

If Golovkin beats Froch, who will fans be screaming for him to fight ?

Who will he not fight ?

Golovkin, if successful here, is 1 fight away from either his first loss, or his first blatant duck.

I would think DeGale coming off a Dirrell win would be Froch's most lucrative option.
