As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has already arrived in California and started training for a planned return on May 2nd.

Canelo's manager/trainer, Jose "Chepo" Reynoso, said they don't have an official opponent in place but they made a team decision to begin the early preparations.

Cotto is waiting to see if Floyd-Pacquiao gets signed first because if it doesn't he may get a better offer from Floyd... What is so complicated about this?

If Canelo is that desperate for an opponent on May 2, I'm sure Triple G will be ready after annihilates his next opponent...

But instead Canelo is training for Clottey?

Genetics. Fighting 12/3 minute rounds is crazy. Not to mention he's firing off power combos (and missing). Some people have natural elite stamina and fitness, some have natural ****ty stamina.

Canelos stamina I honestly believe he couldn't improve much more. Because he started pro young he's been training 4/6/10 rounders instead of the amateur 3 rounders since he was a wee un, and the stamina should have been built up to a beasty level by now.
